I have a brick chimney. It has a clay liner. I found a hole in the living room that is round and looks to be for a stove. It’s an old home. There is no fireplace. I think it was built for an old furnace to use as exhaust. Can I use this liner to the hole in the living room?

How do you install your flashing over your pipe support bracket if your pipe is mounted to it. Don't you have to get your clearance and level your pipe. Nail or screw your support bracket and pipe to roof top. But I'm sorry, I'm just not getting how you slip flashing over pipe and under shingles. Is there a video on this, or can you explain that to me? Thank you,

Nothing is wrong. Most wood stoves have a baffle that direct the hot gasses toward the front. The door should NOT be opened when the fire is raging. Prepare the fire properly at the start, then wait until only red coals are left to load more.

I like the way she conveniently skips showing us doing the other side leg, which is by far the more difficult side to do.

I stuck my hand in my stove before i lit it, i felt cold air blowing down, this only happens once in a while, so what i do is put in one sheet of newspaper and light it, have 4 or 5 more sheets ready as soon as it catches and starts to burn good add another then another, once it heats up by burning off the 4 or 5 sheets, it now burns and vents the very best.

Do NOT use this video for guidance!!! So many mistakes! Silicone caulking is NOT compatible with asphalt shingles, the side shingles need to go OVER the flashing except the very bottom edge, and do NOT seal the bottom edge! Even the storm collar detail is wrong!

Do not leave a thick layer of ash if u have log burners it can leave hot particles in ash and if its cold outside can cause your flu to get cold and a down draft can cause co2 to get into your house

Very good video, however when I installed B vents I would put a bead of caulking just above the top of the flashing where the storm collar meets the flashing. This way you seal the underside as well!

Now i understand about my black bart stove, the pipe is not just double walled it telescopes. Learned more thanks for great video.

The install is wrong

Great video, lots of information simply explained. Watching it I realize I need to go the DIY store and pick up a couple more self tapping screws.

These cannot be removed by bending the tabs, at any point when they might need replaced, like when starting to rust...not without damaging the box support.

If these "eco" fans were as good as they say are there'd be alot more out there.

Surprised to see no high temp silicone sealants were used between pipe sections. Why aren't the joint sections sealed to control smoke infiltration?

Worst install ive seen.. last video u said u need a tee for a collar on the rear. Which is true not you bent that liner amd out a stove adapter on a back collar! Smh id never buy from this company. You put screws into the terracotta clay flue???? All is needs is silicone and stainless steel tap screws for the top plate into the.liner

Doubble smmoth wall is only for solid fuel burning appliances! Single walls are.ment for gas! The tee would also go to a boiler!

I vote you should sell an exterior thimble kit that includes all stainless parts and pipe. You sell such a hodgepodge kits with galvanized pipe its down right dumb. Don't be afraid to sell offset kits too. I got an 18" overhang and I have piece it together.
